Trish,

I really enjoyed the Yoga for Golfers class. I felt it was very effective in training critical muscles that are used during the golf swing motion. Also, I felt challenged the entire time. I have felt more comfort as a result in my golf game and would love to continue some sort of class like this with you.

Best, Michael P.

Update after 3 months: Still improving and amazed at the difference in his game.
Here is something you might use for a testimonial...

I never though I would be the type to take yoga. At first I was hesitant, as I have typically been more into playing sports and running. After a few months of yoga, I now realize how beneficial yoga is to improving my strength, flexibility and durability. My movements are more fluent and controlled, as well as an increase range of motion. During the session, the focus on breath and movement applies not only during a yoga session, but also at work, at home or on the golf course.

I certainly plan to continue practicing yoga as an valuable part of my exercise plan.

Thanks!

Yoga boot camp with Tricia Ptak was phenomenal! It was a great combination of circuit training, yoga and meditation. Tricia created a high energy environment for the cardio and strength training circuits which made it fun! She has a great way of encouraging and coaching to get the most out of every workout. The combination of circuit training and yoga brought fabulous results in cardio, strength, agility, balance, core strength and flexibility conditioning. The before and after in all those areas was unbelievable! Tricia has a wealth of information to share which helps to promote a positive sense of well-being. She is also knowledgeable in nutrition and her recipes are wonderful! Although I am sorry it is over, Tricia taught me how to continue on my own. I can’t wait until the next session! Thank You Tricia! L. Bank

Class was intense but very invigorating. I had a headache before class after class it was gone. I was tense before class from my busy day. After class I felt relax, relieved and energized.

1999 Christmas eve was somewhat different for me. I spent it in a hospital with an acute herniated disc on heavy pain medication. I couldn't walk, stand up or sit down. Pain levels were high and my left leg was barely functioning. I never needed surgery, yet for the next few years life was limited.During the Christmas break of 2004 I started attending yoga classes regularly in my fitness club. Initially inspired by a bigger male instructor who showed me, you didn't need to be skinny, strong and flexible to do yoga. For the past six years, I kept it up. I get better slowly but steadily. I have improved in my overall strength, regained muscle which had started to disappear and most importantly, through twisting and turning and bending, my spine has become healthy and strong. I learned to accept what I could do and couldn't do, in life and with my body. Playing ice hockey as a later starter (age 33) leg strength, core strength and balance help improve my game. I also love the game of golf and manage to back pack my clubs even for 18 holes walking. My body's flexibility has given me more control on my swing. People I meet at yoga inspire me to be different, yet accept for myself where I am at.

First time around, I stopped here and thought this was all I had to say. Silly me. Just was afraid to give away the truth.Yoga in the past year has changed me in and out. I work with many people every day and I used to be very aggressive and negatively driven.I am turning this behavior and myself around and I am seeing many more bright sides in them and life.Don't think you will always be understood when you talk about yoga. But you will be with a smile on your face and nice words out of your mouth.Lastly I found a new sister in my yoga teacher. I love her for many reasons, her presence and inspiration is amazing. Her nagging and bossing is just what a loving sister does. Thanks Tricia!

Testimonial from Competitive Edge Skating

Tricia brings a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards helping the hockey players develop more flexibility, balance, muscular balance, body awareness and over all positive feelings about themselves through the use of yoga practice. Yoga has definitely been a great addition to our training programs at Competitive Edge Skating and has allowed the players to welcome different modes of training in order to enhance their on ice performance and decrease the risk of injuries.

Testimonial from the Head Coach of the South Lyon Lions:

Tricia, you and your program have been a tremendous asset to our Varsity team. You have brought an increased level of strength, flexibility, durability, and calm to our players. While achieving this, because of your expertise, commitment, compassion, and warmth the players look forward to your sessions! During long grueling seasons your program offers the players an alternative that while very productive is a very healthy alternative to traditional on ice and off ice workouts. Your program, I am convinced is a major reason why our injuries have been substantially reduced.

On behalf of the South Lyon High Schools Varsity Hockey Program, thank you for your contribution!

With Regard and Respect,

Bill McCreary, Head Coach South Lyon

Testimonial from the Head Coach of Brighton Varsity Hockey

September 25, 2009

To whom it may Concern,I am the Head Coach of the Brighton Varsity Hockey team. Tricia has been our yoga instructor for the past two seasons. During our season we alternate sessions of strength conditioning with yoga to get a full body workout in a manner that emphasizes core strength and flexibility. We have found that our workouts with Tricia are very valuable for the following reasons:• Flexibility – Core Strengtho Essential for hockey• Injury prevention (recovery)o Abdominal injuries and others• Self awareness of physical and psychological levels• Improvement in performance• Breathing correctly to relax and control emotionso Change the channel during games / practice• Total body strengtho Using body mass vs. weights• Returning body to balanceo Especially important for athletes specializing in one sport

Tricia is great to work with and our players look forward to our weekly yoga session. She is very personable, passionate about yoga, and relates well to the players. She has an incredible understanding and ability to perform yoga and teach it. I would recommend adding yoga to enhance your hockey program and especially if you are fortunate enough to have Tricia as your instructor.Contact me if you would like more information.

Sincerely,

Paul Moggach, Head Hockey Coach
